PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has launched a Business School to enable businesses stay ahead of competition as parts of its efforts to build the capacity of companies and individuals.
[contextly_sidebar id=”vs9Ap3OwjfYgNI9hzY0o8CzqbEnebb7n”]The PwC Business School seeks to serve as an Executive Training Institution for SMEs, multinational firms, and public sector entities to enhance and share best practices on trending business issues.
Courses offered through the business school qualify as a Continued Professional Development (CPD) as they meet professional and regulatory requirements.
The school’s board is under the chairmanship for the Territory Senior Manager, Suresh Kana and they spearhead eight centers of excellence in response to Ghana’s growing professional training needs
“We believe that unlocking the potential of our people enables them to consistently deliver outstanding results, and create meaningful value for our clients,’’ Suresh Kana said.
Speaking to Citi Business News after the launch, country partner for PwC, Felix Addo said, they are in partnership with the Education Ministry to train more students for the job market
“Government is a critical partner in what we do and we do take quite a few number of students for internships, last year for instance, we had about 25 audit trainees in our audit and advisory units enable them get a feel of what we do and to put their theoretical application into practice,’’ he explained.
According to Mr Addo, the framework for the partnership is available but they are working on getting the structures set for an effective collaboration.
He added that PwC will in the coming weeks will meet with the Education Minister to outline a clear cut plan as they collaborate for the business school.
Meanwhile, the US Ambassador to Ghana, Gene Cretz has lauded the management of PwC for establishing the PwC Business School
“It’s just another example of an American Business Community to enhancing capacity building in countries in which PwC work and it’s a tremendous and positive step towards our commitment to help build Ghana and not just looking for business profits,’’ Ambassador Cretz told Citi Business News.
