Government is to issue a communiqué on its deliberations as well as the agreement it reaches with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The team from the IMF begun negotiations with Ghana last week on a program expected to help the country out of its current economic challenges.

When concluded the program is expected to begin running in January next year, it however still remains unclear how long the program will run for.

Government has so far remained tight lipped on how negotiations with the IMF has panned out so far.

A deputy minister of finance Mona Quartey tells Citi Business News government will release a communiqué on the negotiations soon.
