Black Stars head coach Avram Grant says he is worried at his inability to monitor Ghanaian players on the African continent but has vowed to do so in his second year in charge.

The 60-year old Israeli Coach marked his first year in the job on November 27.

[contextly_sidebar id=”jp24dvQAbEWZfwNmVwgwwVCJLy4qpwNF”]So far, players like Daniel Amartey, Kwesi Appiah [injured] and Razak Braimah, have all benefitted from Grant and have established themselves as members of the national team.

But Grant has not gone round the continent to see Ghanaian players featuring in the different leagues and he said he would like to do more of that.

“Monitoring in Africa is one thing I need to do. I did not do it until now; so I am not happy for myself about this. There are still some players in Europe I am yet to see; but I intend to see some of the Ghanaian players playing in Africa.”
Solomon Asante, who plays for TP Mazembe is the only Black Stars player based in Africa to have been given consistent call-ups to the national team since Grant took over a year ago.
