The residents of Amanfrom-American Farm in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region are appealing to government to urgently establish a Police post in the area to check the increasing spate of robbery attacks.
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show, Secretary of the Residents Association, David Nyameku lamented the situation and outlined some measures adopted by the residents to tackle the problem.
“In fact, it was so terrible that all of us in the area these days are afraid. We don’t know how to go out to work. Even in the night when you are asleep, and you hear any noise then we tend to be afraid. So we are appealing to the government to come to our aid.”
“The way things are going on its very bad, we are also Ghanaians. We are now trying in our own small way to bring a container for a Police post to ensure adequate security,” he added.
