Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama has taken a 7-day leave beginning today, July 27, 2015.

A statement from the Presidency stated that “the President will resume work on August 03, 2015.”

The statement added that the president as part of the leave period will honour some pre-scheduled bilateral engagements.

“The last time the President took a break from work was in December 2013,” the statement added.

It is unclear yet whether he will spend his leave days outside the country or in Ghana.

In 2013 when he was on break, he was in Dubai.
