The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has blamed the acute water shortage experienced for over a week now by residents living around Malam to Kasoa areas on a burst of a pipe line.

The 12 inch pipe burst according to the GWCL occurred last week Friday.

Residents in Oblogo, Mango line, McCarthy Hill, Weija and Kasoa areas have been without water for days.

The Director of Communications at the GWCL, Michael Agyemang has given the assurance that the situation is being rectified.
