The Ministry of Interior has reviewed the 12-hour curfew imposed on Bimbilla in the Northern Region following sporadic shooting in the town which left one person dead last month.

In a statement signed by the sector Minister, Kwesi Ahwoi, the reviewed curfew time is now from 9pm to 5am.

The deadly shooting in Bimbilla was triggered by a disagreement between two chieftaincy factions over where to bury the late chief of the town, Nakpaa-Naa Salifu Dawuni.

The statement further banned persons in Bimbilla and surrounding areas from carrying ammunition and other offensive weapons.
