The Member of Parliament for Tema East, Titus Glover has been retained as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant after Saturday’s primaries.
Titus Glover polled 329 votes to beat his main challenger Benjamin Annan Ashietey who polled 284 votes.
Speaking to Citi News after the election an excited Titus Glover said he will work hard to retain the seat for the NPP in the 2016 general elections.
“I will continue to do the work that I am doing. I am ready to face anybody who is elected from the NDC . I will sit down with my team to strategise to see what we can do.”
Meanwhile the NPP Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West, Benjamin Kofi Ayeh has lost his bid to lead the party in the constituency in the 2016 election.
The Former Deputy Minority Chief Whip lost to Samuel Nsowah Djan who polled 220 votes as against Benjamin Ayeh who had 115.
Citi News’ Central Regional Correspondent Akwesi Kronteng reported that supporters of the MP have been left shocked.
