The Police administration is looking for the man in a video that went viral last week, bragging about paying a Police dispatch rider to escort him through traffic in Accra.

“The conduct of the Police dispatch rider and the driver of the vehicle captured in the video is being investigated for the necessary action,” a statement from the Police said.
A statement signed by the Director General, Administration of the Police Service Rose Bio Atinga condemned the act and said they were investigating the matter.
According to the statement, the Police approved a request for security escort from Gold Star Consult for national and international football stars, travelling to Kumasi for a Soccer Fiesta, an event in support of Kumasi Children’s Hospital.
“On Saturday, 19th June 2015, a convoy of the celebrities left the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange enroute to Kumasi, and in the course of the journey the video circulating on the social media was taken by persons now identified as associates of some of these stars, and part of the convoy.”
The Ghana Police further condemned the unauthorized use of Police personnel as bodyguards, security guards and escorts for some affluent in society, business persons and some religious leaders in the country.
The statement further described such acts as illegal and therefore called on the general public to desist from such engagements.
It finally encouraged persons with peculiar security concerns to contact the appropriate Police authority for the necessary action.
The Police service has consistently topped corruption related researches undertaken in the counry.
