The National Communications Authority (NCA) is closely working with 4G LTE service provider Surfline to restore its network after it went down last Sunday February, 1st, 2014.
Its day four, as the company struggles to reconnect subscribers to the network.
The service disruptions follow a fire outbreak that destroyed sections of their data centre in Tema.
[contextly_sidebar id=”PrGOZ1Jl1CJ4q04wjzr0Yob04Tyxus36″]A team of experts from the Ghana National Fire Service and the Electricity Company of Ghana have given safety clearance for Surfline to begin operations in the affected building.
Engineers of Surfline Communications are currently at the Data Centre and are working around the clock to restore network services.
Speaking to Citi Business News, the Head of Brands Communication at Surfline, Edwin Amoako confirmed that all affected subscribers would be compensated after the network is restored.
“We are trying to assure our customers that we understand that they are going through challenges …as soon as we come up with whatever appropriate form of complimentary service that we need to put in place we will think about it and make sure that it is also duly made available to them”, he said.
