Black Stars defender Daniel Amartey will receive the “magical” healing touch of the horse placenta treatment in his bid to regain fitness ahead of Ghana’s AFCON 2015 quarter final clash with Guinea on Sunday 1st February.
According to media reports, Amartey will be given the horse placenta treatment by Serbian muscle specialist Marijana Kovacevic and it is hoped the FC Copenhagen player will recover in time for the match.
Kovacevic, who has been working with the Black Stars since the 2010 World Cup, was seen with the team as they got ready to leave Mongomo for Malabo on Thursday.

The horse placenta treatment, which has gained popularity due to its usage by high-profile players like Frank Lampard, Robin Van Persie, and Diego Costa before he played for Atletico Madrid in the 2014 Champions League final against Real Madrid, usually works by introducing liquid from a horse’s placenta unto the affected area.
The effectiveness of the treatment is usually seen after 24 hours without any serious side effects.
It is believed that Kovacevic will be with the team and she will be brought in to deal with injuries that will require her expertise.
