The government has described the Ghanaians residents in Germany who demonstrated and allegedly hurled insults at the President on Tuesday as supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
[contextly_sidebar id=”j0cRqHinL1b29swXFU9HdtuiwrRipRgy”]A post on the Facebook page of the Flagstaff House said the protestors numbering only 18 are unpatriotic Ghanaians.
The post urged the Ghanaians back home to ignore the demonstrators.
Over 100 Ghanaians met President John Mahama at the airport in Berlin on Sunday.

On Tuesday however, some Ghanaians are reported to have marched outside the Intercontinental hotel in Berlin
demanding better governance from the President Mahama.
Later on Tuesday, the President met the Ghanaian community where they discussed various issues affecting the socio-economic development of the country.
The Flagstaff House post said: “In a sharp contrast to the handful [exact count, 18 people] of opposition NPP supporters who were outside the Intercontinental hotel in Berlin
holding placards insulting the President of the Republic of Ghana, hundreds of patriotic, concerned and hardworking Ghanaians living in Germany on Tuesday evening met with President John Dramani Mahama as part of his state visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.”
The post added that the over 300 Ghanaians who attended the Ghanaian Community Meeting to interact with the President included “Ghanaian professional, traditional leaders, students, business executives, children of Ghanaians living in Germany, some of who are now Germans of Ghanaian Origin and a number of friends of Ghana.”
