Some Ghanaians in Germany have taken to the streets to demonstrate against President John Mahama who is on a state visit to the country.

The scenes in the European country were in stark contrast to when President Mahama first arrived on Sunday, when hundreds of Ghanaians resident in the country turned up in the capital Berlin to welcome him.

The demonstrators were seen holding cards with “No Germany Loan For Ghana” and “Stop the Cocaine Trade in Ghana” witten on them.

President Mahama’s visit, where he held closed-door talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, is expected to strengthen relations between the two countries and explore new avenues for cooperation.

President Dramani Mahama has face similar protests during trips to the United States and to the United Kingdom
