BA United capitalised on their home advantage, as their massive supporters who have missed Premier League football for barely a decade cheered them on to pip Bechem United by a lone goal at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Saturday.
The match winner was scored by Isaac Danso in the second half of the game to give BA United all the three maximum points in their first Premier League game since 2005.
The first half failed to produce any goal but the away team were slightly on top.
Back from recess and with just 11 minutes into the second half, referee David Laryea sent
Bechem United’s Asante Agyeman off.
Bechem United put up an impressive performance despite being a man down until Danso’s 83rd minute shot managed to beat Ernest Adu in post for the visitors.
The win sends B.A. United joint-top of the League table with three points a-piece after Hearts of Oak also defeated WAFA 1-0 at Kpando on Saturday by a goal to nil.
