“All these old happy photographs framing us. Mind Games give migraines, how I for do? In the war of roses, nobody wins, it’s true…”

After the universal critical acclaim for his ‘No Shortcut to Heaven’ video featuring Obrafour, Ghana’s rap champ, M.anifest is back with another visual for ‘Mind Games’, the latest off his Apae EP.

[contextly_sidebar id=”Nzo66k9lZh5vifjt283rk4QbzcHL4j0R”]He trades the pans of a small-scale miner for the seeming comforts of a New York apartment in telling the tale of a complicated romance – a tale of two broken hearts.

The video, which was shot in Brooklyn, New York, sees director Garth Von Glehn of Film Fam skilfully weaving  between the happy and frustrating moments that characterize many romantic relationships.

Von Glehn focuses on the emotional detail of a relationship’s toughest times with stylistic elements of organic retro chic.

An aesthetically minimalist video, we see the two protagonists, M.anifest and his love interest reminisce on the  vicissitudes of relationships – happy to sad to angry all over again. M.anifest plays an avant garde avid 8MM filmmaker who blurs the lines between life, love and art.

M.anifest has gradually carved for himself a reputation for releasing the most creative videos and this one doesn’t disappoint, bringing to life his lyrics and distinct story telling capabilities.
