Three persons on board the the crash- landed Ethiopian cargo plane on Saturday morning have been rushed to the 37 military hospital in Accra.
[contextly_sidebar id=”1l58H4gsGibiAMxM3ohpfkbfbrbBpQdo”]The Corporate Communications Officer of the Ghana Airport Company, Newman Quartey said though the victims survived the incident, they had to be rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
He also said that operations at the airport have normalized adding that “the normal flights are operating on schedule.”
An Ethiopian cargo plane with flight No. ET – AQV on Saturday morning crash-landed at the Kotoka International Airport.
Citifmonline.com sources have attributed the incident to bad weather conditions[harmattan].
Speaking to citifmonline.com, Mr Quartey explained that the plane which was on route from Lome [Togo] to Accra, “skidded the runway” while trying to land safely.
Meanwhile emergency teams including the Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Armed Forces, National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Ghana Police, National Security, Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and Ghana Airport Company Limited are at the site to ensure that operations at the Airport run smoothly.
