The court presided over by Mrs Justice Georgina Mensah- Datsa on Monday granted permission to the dismissed NSS boss to excuse himself from going to the BNI office from December 23, 2014 to January 2, 2015.

Senior State Attorney, Comfort Tasiame who represented the state in court prayed for a three-week adjournment to enable the prosecution complete its investigations.

The case has been adjourned to January 8, 2015.

Alhaji Imoro was granted a Ghs 90 million bail by an Accra High Court on November 17 after being in the custody of the BNI for over a month.

He was arrested for allegedly stealing GHs 86.9 million belonging to the state following the payment of GH¢7.9 million to 22,612 non-existent national service persons in more than 100 districts in July 2014.

President Mahama earlier said that he had ordered the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) to investigate the operations of the NSS which resulted in the bust.
