An aspiring National Organizer in the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye has vehemently denied claims that he has withdrawn from the race ahead of the party’s Congress.

NDC’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia on Thursday announced that Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye and others had withdrawn from the race but failed to give reasons for the decision.

[contextly_sidebar id=”0tbt3piInCsGE0SxxrjYZqA4qnmwEQfH”]He said “In the National Organizer position, there was one Member of Parliament who had filed and he subsequently withdrew. He is Hon. Didieye MP for Afram Plains North.”

He also added that other five persons vying for various positions in the party have also withdrawn.

But speaking to Citi News, a livid Aboagye Didieye said the announcement of his withdrawal is a deliberate ploy by some party leaders to put him at a disadvantage.

He insisted that “I have never withdrawn. It is never true and I will never withdraw. This is an allegation, it is something false and it is total lies.”

“I am so suspicious, It’s a scheme until they are able to prove to me that voluntarily I have withdrawn and I don’t think that they have any evidence to prove that.”

He accused some NDC executives of masterminding the allegation that he had withdrawn adding that “I have evidence and Akamba (Deputy NDC Youth Organizer) is one of them. If they try to resist I will prove it beyond any reasonable doubt.”

Meanwhile, the NDC has expressed its readiness for tomorrow‘s congress to elect new executives for the party’s youth wing.

The congress which will see the election of a new leader and two deputies has six candidates contesting the position of youth organizer and eleven other vying for the two deputy positions.
