The Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Volta Region have welcomed a decision by the Regional Minister, Helen Ntoso to provide them with additional security.

According to them the move will help DCE’s all over the country to perform their duties without fear or favour.

The MMDCEs in the Region called on the President to provide them with adequate security in the discharge of their duties in the wake of the murder of their colleague from Nkwanta South.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Agortime Ziope, Michael Komla Adjaho who doubles as the dean of the regions MMDCE’s said the provision of security will help them serve the country better.

“We are talking about providing security in our residence. My honorable colleague who was murdered if there were security in his residence he wouldn’t have been murdered at his residence. It would not have happened. As a government appointee, not that you are traveling, a police is in your vehicle going up and down. That is not what we mean at the moment.”
