An Accra Fast Track today adjourned the case brought against musician, Shatta Wale, by events company Charterhouse and Mr Iyiola Ayaode to November 3.

The statement of claim deposed by Charterhouse alleges that Shatta Wale uploaded defamatory statements on his Facebook page on the 23rd and 24th of September, 2014.

[contextly_sidebar id=”M4yigxXolfOB5pKqtJ277uzHnBwaVreL”]The Plaintiffs are the High Court to order Shatta Wale to retract those statements and apologize through a number of media channels.

The ultimate demand by the Plaintiffs to the court is the “slapping” of a whopping Ten million Ghana cedis GH10,000,000 to Shatta Wale as damages caused after the publication of those articles.

At its sitting today, the adjourned the case to 3rd November 2014 after upholding the case of interlocutory injunction against the musician, real name Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr.

The court’s decision means that the musician cannot make any videos against the plaintiffs until the substantive case is heard.

Represented by his father, Shatta Wale sought for an out of court settlement of the case which has not been granted by the court.
