Residents of Nsuoase, a suburb of Winneba in the Central Region have apprehended a 26-year-old man who murdered his 12-year-old nephew, Solomon Yawson.
Speaking to Citi News, the District Crime Officer of Winneba, DSP Kofi Sarkodie said the man was apprehended on Wednesday evening and subsequently handed over to the Winneba Police Station.
He noted the Police “will conduct investigation as early as possible to put him before court for him to be remanded in the meantime while investigation continues.”
Mr. Sarkordie further stated that the matter will be forwarded to the AG’s office for advice after the docket on the matter is completed.
“We don’t have any provisional charges for now. We have to proceed against him in Court, ensure that our docket is complete and then forward it to the AG’s office for advice.”
