The former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has predicted a landslide victory for Nana Akufo Addo in the party’s upcoming delegates’ congress.

Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie also known as Sir John believes Nana Addo will get 90 percent of the total votes that will be cast on Sunday.

Speaking at a meeting of delegates in the Volta Region, Sir John also expressed the hope that Nana Akufo Addo will also “rescue Ghanaians from the quagmire that they find themselves in.”

“It is not about Nana Akufo Addo, it is about the numerous unemployed graduates in this country, it is for their sake that Nana Akufo Addo should be there.

It is for the sake of our mothers and fathers who are selling in the market,” the former General Secretary opined.

Meanwhile, the 2012 presidential candidate for the party, Nana Akufo Addo says he is hopeful he will win the upcoming primaries.

“I am hoping that godwilling if I win the primaries, we will oppose the main campaign in the same way,”he said.

He further revealed that the party, as part of its measures to win the 2016 elections, has resolved to appoint various representatives in the various regions to spearhead the party’s policies.
