All tertiary institutions in the country will establish Ebola screening and isolation centres on their various campuses to curb a possible outbreak of the disease in the country.

The decision was taken at a meeting between the Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Prosper Bani and heads of all tertiary institutions in the country.

Government earlier postponed the re-opening date of all public and private tertiary institutions to tackle any threats of Ebola.

Speaking to Citi News, the Deputy Minister of Education in charge of tertiary institutions, Mr. Ablakwa said government has conducted a data analysis of all international students.

“We are also looking at the countries where they[foreigners] come from and where they may have travelled to…,” Mr. Ablakwa added.

The Minister further revealed that tertiary institution and other health firms will benefit from the 10,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPP) which will arrive in the country this week.
