InformGhana, a Blogging Ghana project supported by STAR-Ghana, wishes to invite the general public to a conference at the ICGC Transformation Centre, Kasoa-Ofaakor road, on Wednesday, June 24, 2014 at 10am on the theme: “Citizens’ Participation in Local Governance”.
Special invited guests at the conference will include Honourable Hawa Koomson, Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East and Dr Nuhu Adams, the Municipal Chief Executive for the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly.
The event is intended to improve the participation of citizens in governance at the local level, where they have the most impact, by encouraging dialogue and collaboration between the people and their representatives at the local level.
The conference is part of Inform Ghana’s objective to promote a more informed citizenry through the facilitation of information flow between civil society and the general public through the use of traditional and social media.
