In consultation with the national campaign leadership of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), The Forum for ‘Setting the Records Straight’ has rescheduled the second in the series of the press conferences from today [Wednesday] to Tuesday October 11, 2016.

The Transport Minister, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, lead speaker for the Forum revealed the change in date to ghelections.com  on Wednesday

Mr Kwetey explained:  “The second in the series of ‘Setting the Records Straight’ Press Conferences was expected to be held on Wednesday October 5, 2016 but we have in consultation with the national campaign leadership pushed it to Tuesday 11th October.”

He told ghelections.com that even though a new date had been announced not much would change with regards to what the party had earlier planned to touch on.

“As Ghanaians may be aware , in  our  first press  conference, the NDC established  beyond any reasonable doubt why  the Party is the Real Deal and why our main opponent the New Patriotic  Party is  the embodiment of  incompetence.”

“In next week’s Press conference, the NDC will still establish comprehensively that the NPP is the most discredited party in Ghana’s history and that NDC’s track record makes it a party that Ghana can trust to deliver on its promises.

“We will also show that the NPP has consistently both in the past and present proven that it would say anything just to obtain power. The party’s track record and history of lies and worthless promises reveal the extent of its low credibility.

“The NDC on the other hand, though not laying claim to perfection has over the years amply demonstrated its credibility by keeping as many of its promises as possible,” Mr. Fifi Kwetey stated.

The second forum will again be held at the party’s headquarters like the first one

Party bigwigs expected to attend the event include Fifi Fiavi Kwetey; Minister  for Transport, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, former Youth and Sports Minister; Okudzeto Ablakwa, a Deputy Minister for Education and Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Deputy Minister for Communications.

Kwadwo Twum Boafo, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Board; Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Deputy Minister for Transport; Sam George, NDC Parliamentary nominee for Ningo/Prampram and Madam Emilia Arthur.

Some selected media houses will do a live transmission of the program.
