The winner of the maiden edition of the Mr. World Ghana event, Nii Tackie Laryea left Accra Saturday for the United Kingdom, where he is due to represent Ghana at this year’s Mr. World finals on June 15.

This is Ghana’s first attempt at the world event, which sees fierce competition from a good number of countries, who gather for a 16 days action packed series of events ranging from Talent, Sports, Extreme Challenge, Multi-Media, Fashion & Style.

Officials of Exclusive Events Ghana, organizers of the event, as well as some family relations, saw Laryea off at the airport.

The 23 year old beat a number of finalists in April this year to emerge winner.

Laryea, a Banking and Finance student is hopeful he would make Ghana proud at the event.

“I am happy to have been selected to represent Ghana. This is special for me in many ways. I look forward to putting up a good fight,” he says.

Inna Maryam Patty, CEO, Exclusive Events Ghana remains positive about Ghana’s chances.

“This is Ghana’s first shot, and we are giving it our all. Nii is a quality material with extraordinary talent, and we are looking forward to him doing great with God’s help and your prayers.”

Mr. World Ghana is a franchise owned by Exclusive Events Ghana Limited.
