Hearts of Oak capped a 2-1 away win at AshantiGold to bring some happiness to their fold after a stressful week.

The Phobians were involved in some off-the-field drama as their head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi walked out of a management meeting on Thursday.

The incident led to several rumours stating that Yatsuhashi’s departure from the team was imminent but the management kept him in charge and he duly guided the team to their second away win of the season.

Forward Cosmos Dauda grabbed two goals in the second half with Nafiu Awudu scoring what became the consolation for the home team.

The result moved Hearts up to 18 points while AshGold are 10th on 10 points.

WAFA beat Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope.

Charles Boateng and Tanko Ibrahim were on target for WAFA who move up to 5th on 14 points. Dwarfs are 15th with 9 points.

A brace from Yahaya Mohammed and a strike from Elvis Opoku helped Aduana Stars beat Medeama 3-0 at the Dormaa Park.

Mohammed completed a goal haul of five in three days after scoring a hat-trick against Hasaacas on Wednesday.

Aduana are now 8th with 13 points and Medeama lie 16th with 7 points.
