A video has emerged in which people are seen apparently helping themselves to water left by the side of the road for runners in the London Marathon.
The clip, which was posted to Facebook by Mark Hudson, shows a large group of people appearing to fill their pockets and bags with packages of bottled Buxton water.
The man filming the video – presumably Mr Hudson – tells the camera, sarcastically, ‘hard times in Deptford.’
‘The water supply has not reached here yet,’ he says.
‘As you can see by all the locals… trying to nick all the water that is actually for the Marathon runners.’
He adds: ‘It’s quite a sad state.’
