Ghana’s Parliament is expected to host the Prime Minister of Italy, Matteo Renzi next week.
This was revealed by the Speaker of Parliament on Tuesday while welcoming MPs to the House after resuming from the Christmas and New Year break.
“I’ve received communication from both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Embassy of the impending visit of the Italian Prime Minister. The Prime Minister intends to address the house.”
He said “in consultation with the leadership of the house, I have agreed that this house hosts the Italian Prime Minister sometime next week. The business committee will present the details of the programme to the house.”
Matteo Renzi will be in the contry to explore trade and investment opportunities and he will also hold bilateral talks with President John Dramani Mahama.
