Citi FM’s Bernard Avle, Anas among most influential young Ghanaians

World renowned Investigative Journalist and CEO of Tiger Eye PI, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has topped a public poll of 50 young influential Ghanaians organised by Avance Media. Anas Aremeyaw Anas

Anas Aremeyaw Anas was voted number one in the poll which drew participation from Ghanaians from 90 countries after 15 days of voting across 10 different sectors including the arts, media and sports.

Anas made headlines worldwide in 2015 for his expose on the corruption existing within the Judicial System of Ghana.

Following Anas in the list of the 50 most influential Ghanaians were Bola Ray (CEO, EIB Network), Dede Ayew (Footballer, Black Stars) and Francis Xavier Sosu (Managing Partner, F-X Law and Associates).

Farida Bedwei

The highest ranked woman on the list at fifth is Farida Bedwei, the Co-founder and CTO of Logiciel Ltd who runs a FinTech and serves on the National Communication Authority board despite having cerebral palsy.

The host of the Citi Breakfast Show, Bernard Avle, also features on the list coming in as the 15th most influential Ghanaian.

According to Avance Media, “These great young achievers have toiled for Ghana, representing and influencing their motherland positively across diverse activities and have shown their relevance among millions of young people across Ghana.”

The managing director of Avance Media, Prince Akpah, stated, ”even though 2015 was marked as a year coupled with lot of challenges, it also turned out to be a motivating one attested by the massive involvement of young people in various activities bringing at par their works and impacts.”
