Citi News has gathered, the Nursing and Midwifery Council has finally submitted its report to the Health Ministry on the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) missing baby saga.

The Council asked for more time to complete its investigations after a first deadline elapsed.

The content of the submitted report is immediately not known.

The family at the centre of the controversy says, it suspects the Health Ministry of working to cover up the issue with the constant extension of deadlines.

The family is also accusing the Ministry of presenting it with GHC 50,000 as compensation through some community leaders.

The Ministry declined to comment on the accusations from the family.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry says its technical committee is currently studying the report from the Nursing and Midwifery Council submitted.
