Prices of some foodstuff have reduced marginally ahead of the Christmas season.

A medium size tomato tin is being sold for 10 cedis 10 pesewas.
Maize followed with a 5 percent drop to close the week at 3 cedis 80 pesewas per olunka. Local rice also followed with a percentage loss to close the week at 7cedis 60 pesewas per olunka.
Figures released by Esoko Ghana however revealed that yam, Soya bean, Cassava and groundnut all made gains during the second week in December.
Prices of tomatoes also dropped between 10 and 44 percent in the Kumasi, Techiman, Takoradi and Dambai markets.
The commodity however gained 9 percent in Tamale; to close the week at GHC 7 cedis 20pesewas.
