The National Democratic Congress’s parliamentary primary in the Kumbungu Constituency of the Northern Region, has been postponed to Sunday November 22.
Some 440 illegal names have been deleted from the Kumbugu register after some of the aspirants questioned the register’s credibility ahead of Saturday’s voting.
The Northern Regional Communications Director of the NDC, Abdul Mumin Alhassan, confirmed the deletion of the ineligible names to Citi News.

Three contestants are battling with Mr. Ras Mubarak, Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority.
Mr. Mubarak migrated from the Ablekuma North constituency of the Greater Accra Region, where he contested the primaries in 2012 but lost to the incumbent MP.
Meanwhile, two persons were arrested in Nantong and Tamale Central for attempting to snatch ballot boxes.
The two constituencies have already been identified as hotspots.
Similar irregularities and disagreements about the voters’ register, has forced the postponement of polls to Sunday at Ningo Prampram in the Greater Accra Region, and many other constituencies across the country.
