The incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for the Tamale Central Constituency, Hon. Inusah Fuseini, has called for calm during and after Saturday’s primaries to elect parliamentary candidates and endorse the candidature of President John Dramani Mahama.

The constituency, already identified as a flash point, recorded some violent scenes at some polling stations including Warizehi, Tishigu and Ambariya English and Arabic School.

[contextly_sidebar id=”ssH5RNwmMPxDnt8ypI6OxBJYZ2nreXaG”]The numerical strength of security personnel on the ground was inadequate as only one policeman was found at some of the polling stations.

Malizali-Naa Inusah Fuseini after casting his vote at the Tishigu Central Mosque, called for peaceful coexistence.

Lawyer Inusah Fuseini in a Citi News interview described the contest as a family affair and cautioned supporters of the various aspirants against causing mayhem.

The Tamale Central Legislator emphasized unity after the primary to consolidate the NDC’s electoral gains in 2016.
