The New Patriotic Party has ordered its communicators to desist from commenting on matters related to the press conference that was addressed by its suspended chairman, Paul Afoko.

[contextly_sidebar id=”LVsv8FXusjo8yP53LkulwgFZOkmhrAFB”]In a statement signed by the Communications Director of the NPP, Nana Akomeah, it said “the issues Mr Afoko raised are issues before the courts of Ghana, brought before the courts by Messrs Tweneboa Kodua and two others, represented by the same lawyers representing Mr Afoko.”

Paul Afoko at Wednesday’s press conference said he is heading to court to challenge the decision of the party to suspend him.

“Indeed, Mr Afoko made reference to these court matters when he issued a message on Monday 2nd November, 2015, to members of the NPP National Council urging them to stay away from a National Council meeting on basis of this court action,” the statement added.

The party is therefore urging “all officials and communicators to desist from speaking on these matters on the airwaves, as they are now matters before the court.”
