A lead contender in the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) November 21 Parliamentary race in the Mion constituency of the Northern Region, Dr. Mu-Awia Zakaria has donated ambulance to the Sang health post.

He gave the ambulance to the Mion District Assembly for onward handing over to management of the Sang health post.

Dr. Mu-Awia in a Citi News interview said the donation formed part of his social interventions meant to improve the people’s welfare.

He promised to mobilize enough resources and galvanize the people for constructive purposes.

He admonished delegates of the expanded Electoral College in Mion to massively vote for him on November 21.

He condemned character acrimony and vilification and advised his competitors to be civil on their campaign platforms.

Dr. Mu-Awia said the party should remain united after the primary as means of retaining the seat.

He commended the chiefs and people of Mion for the confidence reposed in him and promised to meet their aspirations should he win both the primary and the 2016 Parliamentary election.

Majority of the people have already benefitted from series of eye screening and medical check-up projects organized by Dr. Mu-Awia in the constituency.

Hundreds of Mion residents on Friday at the outskirts ushered Dr. Mu-Awia and his campaign team into Sang to present the Ambulance.
