Following claims by Attorney General, Martin Amidu that investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas is operating his Tiger Eye PI company “fraudulently” lawyers of some of the implicated judges in the recent corruption scandal say they will petition the Judicial Council over his credibility.

The lawyers say the latest revelation by Mr. Amidu that Anas’s Tiger Eye PI is fraudulent and a “dummy” organization gives them an opportunity to petition the Judicial Council.

He also accused Anas of suppressing parts of the judicial corruption video to shield some of the judges and challenged the investigative body to release the full and unedited piece.

[contextly_sidebar id=”gBqZOSZXlCmDeucMUKt4N5CxW7fxldcg”]Speaking to Citi News one of the lawyers, Charles Bentum said they will pursue the matter through designated channels.

“The supposed persons whose investigation report was received by the judicial service was Tigereye PI. He [Mr. Amidu] is saying that Tigereye PI is not an incorporated person at law. What it means is that no petition in law has been submitted for the removal of our client because you can’t put something on nothing and let it stand.”

He argued that “If somebody in law doesn’t exist, there is no way the person can present an investigative report that we have had in the last few months.”

“I have been under the impression that the company Tigereye PI Media Ghana Limited was the same as Tigereye PI and I have now woken up to find that they are not same. And to that extent, we think that the whole of the processes that we’ve been through so far should be reviewed,” he added.

Earlier, another lawyer for the implicated judges, John Ndebugri explained that the revelation by Martin Amidu will help unravel the “truth” in the matter.

He said Mr. Amidu’s piece “will inure to the benefit of whoever is being dealt with under the petition he [Anas] presented [to the Chief Justice].”
