Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his investigative team are still tight-lipped about a video on corruption which allegedly implicated some Members of Parliament and was screened exclusively to the leadership of Parliament.

Former Attorney General Amidu has alleged that Anas colluded with government to cover up a corruption scandal on the MPS.

[contextly_sidebar id=”IVE64g1n6Ro5BRRvq9sYlws4EkrmbdrY”]Earlier in a media interview, Anas’ boss, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako confirmed that Anas had indeed carried out an investigative piece on the legislature.

“Yes, something is happening on the legislative front. That process has absolutely nothing to do with government! Anas has not even spoken about that project. I did but the critical point is nothing would be made public until it is a finished product!,” Kwaku Baako  noted.

When Anas subsequently released a statement on the developing issue on Tuesday, he said he will not confirm or deny whether he had carried out such an investigation.

“We are aware of information in the public domain that we have conducted similar investigations into the legislature and executive. We will not confirm or deny that. No self-respecting investigation body will speak to such matters, even if it is not conducting such investigations,” he said.

On Eyewitness News on Wednesday, Anas’ lawyer, Kissi Adjabeng  initially said he could not confirm whether Anas conducted an investigation on Ghana’s MPs but proceeded to say if “he showed the video and so what?”

“I cannot confirm that he did but if he did and so what?It is not everything that you talk about and I am telling you that I cannot confirm it so it is in the negative rather than the affirmative but I am saying that even if he did and so what?”
