A Former chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jake Obetsebi Lamptey has charged the rank and file of the opposition party to ensure that the party is not cheated at the polls again.

The man who was among those who petitioned the Supreme Court over alleged irregularities in the 2012 presidential election insisted that the good people of Ghana will not forgive the party if they allow another stolen verdict in election 2016.

“Part of my mind kept on going and saying that it’s true that we have this cheating going on but it’s also very true that true that we allowed ourselves to be cheated. When you go out, you will see overwhelming support. We have a responsibility to the children and the children’s children of our country to make sure we do not waste this support,” he said.

Jame Obetsebi Lamptey again charged the party members to resist  the situation when “we go to the polls, the people of Ghana vote for Nana Addo, vote for the NPP and Mahama and the NDC are declared the winners.”
