NPP Supporters from the length and breadth of Germany will converge in the Northern German city of Hamburg over the weekend for a Mini Congress.

The one-day mini congress is also expected to attract party faithfuls from other external branches including Italy, Denmark, Sweden, the United States of America, China, Holland and Canada among others.

According to Mr. Kwaku Anane-Gyinde, National Organizer of NPP-Germany, the purpose of the mini congress is to enable the party to take stock of its performance in last two years with the view to improving on its achievements, correcting its shortcoming and strategizing for the future.

Mr. Anane-Gyinde noted that such regular interactions which allow party supporters to question leadership and demand answers not only deepen internal party democracy, but also promotes unity and provides an opportunity for members to network.

The mini Congress and other regular meetings initiated by NPP-Germany he pointed out, underscores the determination of the leadership to allow members to take real ownership of the party adding, allowing the grassroots to take ownership strengthens the party and makes it more vibrant and attractive.

The National Organizer urged all Local Chapters to encourage and support their members to be present at the congress and make their voices heard and help shape the future direction of the party and said any chapter that fails to attend the important gathering would be doing a disservice to itself and NPP-Germany.

The congress which takes place at Konigsreihe 22 starts at 11 am and ends at 5pm.

It would be followed by a fundraising event organized by the Hamburg Chapter of the party.

Senior Party Officials who have been invited to grace the fundraising event include Hon. Kennedy Agyepong, MP for Assin Central, Hon. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, MP for Bantama and Hon. Adjoa Sarfoa, MP for Dome-Kwabenya.
