Properties worth thousands of Ghana cedis were lost in the downpour that occurred on Friday morning in the national capital, Accra.
The rains, which lasted for two hours submerged homes and vehicles.
Areas including the Kwame Nkramah Circle, Adabraka, Kaneshie and Lapaz were mostly affected.
A visit by Citi News to some of the affected areas saw some residents counting their loses after the downpour.
The development comes four months after the flood and fire disaster that occurred on June 3, claimed over 150 lives at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle.
