Four suspected armed robbers have been arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police Command on the Manso Nkwanta highway.
Addressing the Media at a press conference, the Ashanti Regional Commissioner of Police, DCOP Nathan Kofi Boakye said, the robbers were arrested on October 7 upon a tip off.
He said the suspects were heading towards Manso Nkwanta, a small scale mining zone when they were arrested.
He said the Police retrieved one pump action gun, 8 bullets, 8 mobile phones, 1 speaker, 2 pair of boots and 4 army uniforms.
DCOP Kofi Boakye further cautioned all small-scale miners to seek for security support from the Police whenever they want to transport money or any Gold material to prevent attacks.
