PPP to hold national congress on October 31

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) will hold its National Convention on Saturday October 31, 2015 at Takoradi in the western region.

This follows a confirmation from the party’s National Committee.

The National Convention will climax the election of constituency, regional and national officers.  Most importantly, the Convention will approve the Party’s Platform for the 2016 elections.

The Theme for the convention is: Strategize to form Government in 2016.

A statement issued by the party and signed by its National Secretary, Kofi Asamoah Siaw stated that all constituency branches of the party have begun parliamentary primaries to select candidates for the 2016 elections.

The exercise, it noted, is expected to end on October 30, 2015.

The National Convention will subsequently announce the modalities for the election of the 2016 presidential candidate of the party which will take place in November, 2015.

The National Committee urged all PPP members and supporters to continue with the polling station organization of recruiting apostles of change to make its objective of forming government in 2016 possible.

It also encouraged members and sympathizers of party work hard more than ever to rescue Ghana from incompetence, greed, corruption and poverty.
