The Concerned New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth group in the Northern Region, have begun a campaign to get one of the party’s activists, Baah Achamfuor sacked.

Baah Achamfuor reported the NPP First Vice Chair, Freddie Blay and the National Treasurer, Abankwa Yeboah to the police CID claiming they have diverted over GHc5 million cedis of party funds.

Spokesperson of the Concerned NPP Youth in the Northern Region, Yussif Danjumah in a Citi News interview described Baah Achamfuor’s conduct as a gross violation of the NPP’s constitution.

“Clearly the party’s constitution talks about misconduct and he has misconducted himself all along and nothing is happening to him: everybody is waiting anxiously for the NPP to come to power but what is happening today is about one man in the party who is continuously bring the party’s name into public ridicule and so we are demanding that Baa Achamfuor, if not suspended from the party should even be sacked.”

According to him, Baah Achamfuor is an NDC mole who continued to cause trouble for the party in the media.

“We suspect that he is being sponsored by the National Democratic Congress to do what he is doing in the party because no true loyal member of the party will do what Baah Achamfuor is doing.”

Yussif Danjumah said the NPP national executives should be blamed for the party’s incessant internal crisis.

“We are also calling on the national executives themselves to exercise optimum circumspection with regards to how they take the party matters onto the media.”

“We can’t resolve our issues in the media: the national Chairman himself the statement that he issued was unfortunate and the response of the first vice Chairman was also unfortunate,” he lamented.
