Pedestrians who use the road around the Tetteh Quarshie interchange, can now heave a sigh of relief after the completion of a new footbridge in the area.
It was opened to the public on Friday.
Many road users have lost their lives while crossing the busy three-lane dual carriage highway.
With the completion of the project, movement along the area is expected to be less difficult and dangerous.
The Director of Departments for Urban Roads, Alhaji Abass Aworlu promised in an earlier interview with Citi News that the footbridge will be opened to the public by the end of August.
Mr Aworlu has promised that his outfit, together with the Ghana Highway Authority will complete similar projects on the George Walker Bush Highway soon.
