UMB launches VISA card

Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), is proud to formally announce the launch of the UMB Visa Classic Debit Card.

The Managing Director/CEO of UMB, Mr. John Awuah stated that, over the past few months customers and partners of UMB can attest to various initiatives taken by the bank to put their interests first.

These include the opening of several state of the art branches, the significant expansion of the bank’s ATM network and the expansion of its in-branch payment services.

“The partnership with Visa Inc.”, he said, “demonstrates our commitment to provide greater convenience and enhanced service delivery to our cherished customers. As a customer centric bank, we have listened to our customers and we are very excited to be introducing this product”.

The UMB Visa Classic Debit card will give all UMB customers 24/7 access to their funds on UMB ATMs, other Visa branded ATMs and point of sale terminals worldwide. Customers of UMB will also enjoy greater security on their transactions as the card uses the most advanced chip & pin highly-secured technology.

As part of the introduction of UMB Visa to Ghana, UMB is offering free UMB Visa Classic Debit cards to new and existing customers for a limited time only and while supplies last.

The bank also plans to introduce other VISA related services to further enhance their service offering. Ms. Yvonne Botchey, Director of Marketing and Communications at UMB commented that “Having VISA is consistent with our philosophy to provide our customers with the very best in financial products and services”.
