The private banking unit of Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), also known as the Prominence Club, held a seminar on Succession Planning for Prominence Club members at UMB’s head office in Airport City.

The seminar, which was conducted in partnership with KPMG Ghana, is part of a quarterly seminar series aimed at discussing relevant topics that will enhance the businesses and investments of members of the Prominence Club.

In his welcome address, the Managing Director/CEO of UMB, Mr. John Awuah stated that, “At UMB, our core philosophy is to put the customer first; to put you first. Through this symposium series and other initiatives, we hope to demonstrate to you our commitment to always put your needs first by providing you with relevant information and exceptional products and services. Our aim is to be more than just your bank, we aim to be your partner, your ally as you build your successful business and personal enterprises.”

The keynote presentation on succession planning was delivered by Mr. Andy O. Akoto, a partner at KPMG Ghana. The presentation touched on core concepts of succession planning and how participants can build sustainable businesses that thrive long after they have exited their organizations.

At the end of the event, participants expressed their appreciation to UMB for such a relevant and informative session.
