Mr. Justice Francis Obiri, the trial judge, assured him his pregnant wife would be cared for.

Solomon Adjel, a labourer, was aquitted and discharged after telling the court that he was conversing with a female friend when he witnessed another friend running by, one Desmond Ayigbe, and so he also took to his heels

After being remanded into custody by the court earlier on, Oziwomu and Adjel’s sentences were both deferred.

According to the Prosecuting Chief Inspector, Kofi Adu, the complainant (name withheld) went to the Obra Spot at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle on June 24 of this year. to find a vehicle to Osu.

While looking for a vehicle to Osu, the complainant received a call on her Samsung Galaxy mobile phone, which is valued at GBC 400.00.

As she was answering the call, the accused persons assaulted her, stole her mobile phone and ran off.

Fortunately, sympathizers who had witness the crime chased, apprehended and arrested the thieves and handed them over to the police.
