Peak Milk has launched a consumer–oriented promo geared towards mitigating the impact of the erratic power supply in Ghana.

The 60 days promo, which is dubbed ‘Let Your Light Shine‘, will see the presentation of 60 Generator sets  as well as 1800 solar lamps to loyal consumers of the 170g tin Peak  Evaporated Milk.

Shedding light on the rationale for the Promo, Mr. Wilfried Assi, Marketing Manager, FrieslandCampina West Africa Ltd., owners of the Peak Brand in Ghana, indicated that the promo was initiated primarily to reward its loyal consumers while encouraging Ghanaians to consume Peak Milk.

He said Peak Milk provides proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and lactose – building materials and fuels that are important for good nutrition.

Mr. Assi, therefore encouraged customers and consumers to drink the extra fortified milk daily to enhance the performance of body and mind, adding, the campaign will not only relieve stakeholders of the financial cost in providing alternative source of electricity in this era of Dumsor but will also go a long way to boost the nutritional intake of citizens.

“As a reputed household brand for many years, we at Peak Milk are not oblivious to the domestic and social impacts of the current energy challenge. This is why we want to use this rewarding campaign to help mitigate the impact of the Dumsor,’’he noted.

Explaining the mechanics of the campaign, he indicated that customers of the Peak brand would be required to text a 12-digit batch number on Peak’s 170g Evaporated milk tin to a defined toll-free SMS short code.

‘‘This will be followed immediately with a message indicating whether or not the said customer has won any of the items, ’’he said.

While expressing optimism about the impact of the campaign, he urged all and sundry to avail themselves to the opportunity.
