Mighty Jets say they have not been made aware of a fixture with Kotoko in the FA Cup semifinal.

The MTN FA cup quarter final between the Reds and AshGold was called off on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium following failure of the Miners to show up.

It had been widely reported in the media that Kotoko would get a walkover to the next stage, but as per the statutes of the competition, that is not the case.

Article 9 clause section 5: “If a club withdraws or is withdrawn or fails to turn-up for the competition at any stage the club shall be replaced by the last club it eliminated”

But Dan Larbi, spokesperson of Might Jets says they have got no communication to that effect.

“We have heard the reports too, but we are waiting for an official message from organisers if that is the case,” he told Citi Sports.
